Bible Way Camp Joy - transforming youth by renewing their minds with love & fun
Bible Way Camp Joy 2016 is on the way!  For those meeting us for the first time, it is an overnight Christian summer camp for at risk inner city youth ages 7-16.  It is committed to serving God and providing an awesome summer experience for at risk inner city youth in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Using the gospel of Jesus Christ, and fun filled days, we provide a safe and fun-filled camping experience that equips our campers with tools to help enhance life after camp.
Wherever your child may be on his or her spiritual path, at Bible Way Camp Joy he or she will find a loving and supportive community that will add to their joy, maturity and spiritual growth.
Our governing rule at camp is for everyone to have fun and help everyone else do the same. We encourage but not demand the development of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ for campers who have not yet done so.  We also aspire to strengthen the confidence and joy in Jesus Christ for those who have a relationship with Him.  We encourage personal and spiritual growth through prayer, Bible study and active service in a church and community following camp.
We had an awesome time last year from August 5, 2015 through August 7, 2015.  Elder Louis Parker and his wife Denise, who are our Logistics Coordinators and in training Camp Directors, did an outstanding job ensuring that everyone had a wonderful time.  Our personal registered nurse in the person of Roselle Anderson will be assisted this year by Gloria Griffin to help the counselors and other staff make sure the campers are safe.  Krazy Praise competition, which is a sort of Christian talent show, during which the campers show case their talents and creativity, is always competitive and fun.  Last year the boys won first prize for only the second time in the history of the camp - congratulations!!!  The females have vowed to regain their title this year.

The campers are on their feet playing 15 hours a day, stopping only for worship, meals, snacks, nature calls and to catch their breath.  Of course the Word of God is planted in fertile hearts during the morning and evening worship services and we look forward to seeing the fruit of the Spirit manifested in transformed hearts following God's increase.  Water baptisms are done on site upon camper request "and" parental/guardian consent.
2016 will be our 13th camp which will be from August 3, 2016 through August 5, 2016. During the interim check out our picture gallery that will be updated during the coming months and feel free to begin your fundraisers to send a tax deductible donation to help send 100 campers to Camp Joy 2016.  Thank you in advance.  God loves you and so do we.
